This policy covers thewebarchitecture.com. The site is operated by The Web Architecture (“we”, “us”). Each of our products runs on its own website and has its own privacy policy, which applies when you use that product.
What we collect
Email addresses you give us. When you join a waiting list or subscribe to our emails, we store your email address, the page where you signed up and the date. When you confirm your address, we record that too. We use this information only to send you what you signed up for: a single message when a product opens, a notice when a theme or plugin is released, or our occasional emails.
Messages you send us. If you write to us, we keep your email and our reply so that we can follow up.
Visit statistics. We measure visits with Umami, an analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect information that identifies you. It records things like the pages visited, the referring site, the type of device and the country, in aggregate.
Technical logs. Like any website, our hosting provider’s servers record technical information about each request, such as the IP address and browser, to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to identify visitors.
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for advertising and we do not use it to build profiles.
Legal basis
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for waiting lists and emails, which you can withdraw at any time, and on our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site for statistics and logs.
How long we keep it
We keep waiting list addresses until the product opens and we have written to you, or until you ask us to remove them. Subscriber addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request.
Who processes it
Your data is stored on the server that hosts this site. Our hosting provider and our email delivery provider process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to providing their service. If we move signups to a newsletter service, this policy will be updated to name it before we do.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it or stop using it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe. Depending on where you live, including the European Union, the United Kingdom and California, you may have further rights under local law, and you can complain to your data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on this page before they take effect.
