WebShapeUp
Get your site back in shape.
WebShapeUp works like a good garage. It looks at the site, tells you what needs fixing and what each fix costs, and does only the work you approve. Then it gives you a report of everything it did.
How a repair works
- Scan. WebShapeUp checks the site for technical problems: the issues that slow pages down, confuse search engines or leave things half broken.
- Quote. Each problem it can fix appears with its own price. Select and deselect fixes, and the total updates as you go. You pay only for what you choose.
- Connect. You install the WebShapeUp Bridge, a small plugin that lets WebShapeUp carry out the approved work and nothing else.
- Fix. The approved repairs are made.
- Report. You receive a final report of every change.
Some problems cannot be fixed automatically. WebShapeUp lists those too, plainly, so you know they exist, and you can write to us about them.
01
Repairs, not reinventions.
WebShapeUp fixes what is wrong and leaves the rest alone. It does not redesign the site, rewrite your content or start a new blog for you. A good repair is one you notice only because things work.
02
A narrow, quiet bridge.
The WebShapeUp Bridge accepts a closed list of operations and nothing outside it. It does not phone home on its own or add anything to your pages. It is available only from WebShapeUp, never as a general-purpose plugin.
03
Maintenance if you want it.
A yearly maintenance plan includes four reviews, which you start whenever you like. We recommend about three months between them, which is often enough to catch problems before they grow.
Why small problems add up
WordPress is maintained by a large community, but the plugins and themes around it vary widely in quality. Patchstack’s report on 2025 counted 11,334 new vulnerabilities in the WordPress ecosystem, 91 percent of them in plugins, and found that 46 percent had no patch available when they were disclosed. Security is only one part of what WebShapeUp looks at, but the lesson carries over: a site that nobody checks slowly collects problems.
Frequently asked questions
Does WebShapeUp work on any WordPress site?
It works on WordPress sites that can run the WebShapeUp Bridge, which needs a current version of WordPress and PHP. If your site is on a hosted builder, FreeYourWeb can move it to WordPress first.
Is it a security service?
It fixes technical problems, some of which are security related, but it is not a firewall or a malware cleaner. For hardening and backups, see the free plugins we are preparing, TWA Shield and TWA Vault.
What if I do not want to install a plugin?
The bridge is how WebShapeUp makes changes safely and only within the work you approved. Without it, you still get the scan and the quote, and you or your developer can carry out the fixes by hand.
Will it change how my site looks?
Not intentionally. Repairs are technical. If you want a new look, that is SiteRenewer.
