Themes

Seventeen themes, one architecture underneath.

Each theme is designed for one kind of site. All of them share the same structure of pillar pages and articles, so a site can grow, or change theme, without breaking.

Most themes are chosen for how they look in a screenshot. Ours are designed the other way round: each one starts from one kind of site and what that site has to do, and every one of them carries the same architecture underneath. Pillar pages anchor a topic, articles develop it and link back, and the structure stays the same whichever theme you pick. Content can move from one of our themes to another without breaking.

Each theme is a complete, working theme with four style identities. Pro adds more identities, extra patterns and support. Every theme is built only on core WordPress blocks, ships with local fonts and no JavaScript of its own, and is tested on small phones and large screens in light and dark modes.

How a block theme is put together, from templates to theme.json, is explained in our guide How WordPress Works. Our themes are published at Powerful WP Themes.

For software and products

Atrium

For B2B software companies that publish a real editorial journal next to their product pages. Product screenshots get editorial treatment, the product is told in numbered chapters, and the journal has its own header and covers so it reads as a publication. Includes feature, pricing, comparison, product tour, customer story, docs and changelog templates.

Vectorial

The landing page for a small SaaS or product, composed and ready to publish: hero, problem and solution, features, how it works, pricing and a changelog that goes out by RSS.

Peristyle

Every page around a SaaS except its home: pricing, docs, help, changelog, legal and the blog, with a clear way into the app and no second login to confuse visitors.

Pavilion

The resources around a software product whose home page is the product itself: a help center with its own search, tutorials, a What’s new changelog, a templates gallery and a full blog. Buttons into the product adapt to whether the visitor is signed out, already signed in or arriving before launch.

Caliper

The public site for a diagnostic tool. It shows results instead of screenshots: a sample report with its score and findings, what the tool measures and how, and a methodology page that lists every metric.

For publishers and writers

Rostra

A front page composed like an edition, for newspapers, magazines and newsletters with a site: masthead, lead story, secondary stories, briefings, and article types from news to longform.

Forum

For generalist blogs. The home page opens with a lead story chosen by the editor, then a row for every section, the latest pieces and the most read. Five formats have their own templates: guide, list, review with a verdict, opinion and interview.

Podium

A content blog organized by topic rather than by date, with a Start here page, newsletter sections and a shelf for books. For writers whose archive matters more than their latest post.

Oculus

A blog with an author at its center. The home page presents the author and their central idea, then essays, short notes and practices as three kinds of piece, with series and an archive by year.

Arcade

For blogs of practical guides. Learning paths list their guides in order, and each guide shows its level, what you need before you start, numbered steps, code, what it was tested with and the next guide in the path.

Archetype

An author website that works as a living edition of the author’s work: book pages that open like the book, series pages, essays and a shelf that lists everything automatically.

Pillar & Buttress

For knowledge hubs. Pillar pages anchor each topic, buttress articles develop it and link back, and every pillar lists its articles automatically. Ideal for documentation and reference sites.

Tablinum

For sites of profiles and case files: companies, people and the moments that defined them. Each record shows its facts and a timeline linked to the articles that analyze it, with comparison pages and an index by decade, sector or type.

For organizations and services

Perspective

A neutral, versatile theme for parent brands and agencies, and a sound base for local businesses, non-profits, portfolios and blogs. Services and case studies have their own templates and list themselves.

Athenaeum

The public website for courses and training: course pages that present and sell the course, curriculum by modules, instructor, open lessons and a catalog.

Tessera

For directories that help people choose: search, categories with counts, attribute filters and several views, from cards to a table, plus market pages, reviews and comparisons.

Palestra

For whoever steps into the public arena: a person, a team, a club or an organization. Articles, podcast or video episodes, events that move to past events by themselves and press appearances, with a page for every guest and speaker.

What every theme includes

  • A blog with pillar pages and articles, flat addresses and breadcrumbs.
  • An updated date and an author card on every article.
  • A blog map that lists every pillar automatically.
  • Patterns for key takeaways, FAQs, sources, definitions and a newsletter signup.
  • A guide inside WordPress that explains how the theme is organized.
  • Colors and spacing locked to the design system by default, so pages stay consistent, with a free mode you can switch on when you want full control.
  • Text that stays readable on every color, in light and dark modes.
